John H. Leyvas, Jr. and Richard Knutson co-founded Premier Apartment Advisors in 2006. Mr. Leyvas joined Moison Investment Company in 1992 and, along with Knutson, opened the East Bay Office in 1997. Prior to his association with Moison, he was an investment broker with Grubb & Ellis and was a founding Board Member of the Northern California Apartment Council. He has successfully closed transactions valued in excess of $1 billion. His prior experience includes a major A.C. Transit Headquarters development during his tenure at Force, Ltd., syndication/development firm where he was responsible for office, apartment and land sales, as well as syndication. Mr. Leyvas received a B.S. in Business Finance from California State University, Hayward with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate. He has been awarded Top Sales recognition every year since 1993, as well as the Rookie of the Year Award from Grubb & Ellis in 1989, followed by a Top 10 Award in 1990. His professional activities include leadership positions in the Rental Housing Association and the Tri-County Apartment Association, and he has served on the Board of Directors of the Rental Housing Association and the San Leandro Boys & Girls Club. Mr. Leyvas was named CoStar Power Broker in 2005 and 2006. He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council.

Richard Knutson and John H. Leyvas, Jr. co-founded Premier Apartment Advisors (formerly Moison Investment Company-East Bay Group) in 2006. He joined Moison Investment Company as a Partner 1997 and Co-Owner of the East Bay Office. Mr. Knutson began his real estate career with the Oakland office of Coldwell Banker Commercial as an apartment investment specialist in 1982. He earned the Top Rookie and Top Five honors during his 15-year tenure at CBRE and served terms as President and Director of the Oakland Association of Realtors. He also held leadership positions in the California Association of Realtors and Oakland Sharing the Vision. Mr. Knutson has successfully closed a broad array of transactions including nearly 200 sales involving over 10,000 housing units and a transaction volume in excess of $1,000,000,000. He was named CoStar Power Broker for 2004 and 2005. Mr. Knutson received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas in 1976 with a concentration Real Estate and Finance. Mr. Knutson received the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 1987. Prior to commencing his professional career, Mr. Knutson served with the U.S. Peace Corps in Cameroon. He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council.

Ed Vergara joined Premier Apartment Advisors (Formerly Moison Investment Company - East Bay Group) in June 2000. Prior to his association with Premier Apartment Advisors, Mr. Vergara was employed as an Investment Broker with Marcus & Millichap, a national investment brokerage company, where he was responsible for heading the investment division for the East Bay Area of Northern California. Mr. Vergara was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1993. He later obtained a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law in Santa Clara, California in 1997. Mr. Vergara successfully passed the Bar Examination in July 1997 and regular benefactor to the San Leandro Boys and Girls Club, as well as the Bellarmine College Preparatory School in San Jose. In 2006, Mr. Vergara was honored as the Top Sales Agent for Premier Apartment Advisors.

Prior to joining Premier Apartment Advisors in 2003, Mr. Cross was Acquisitions Manager for Palo Alto, California-based Pacific Property Company where he was responsible for the acquisition and subsequent market repositioning and divestiture of San Francisco Bay Area apartment properties. He also served as Acquisitions Director for San Francisco-based SSR Realty Advisors (now BlackRock Realty Advisors) focusing on value-added apartment investments in West Coast markets. His 20-year real estate career began in Atlanta, Georgia as a commercial real estate appraiser where, as an associate with Landauer Associates and later Cushman & Wakefield, he developed expertise in the valuation of multiple asset classes including apartments, office developments, regional shopping centers, industrial facilities and hotels. Mr. Cross has served as an expert witness pertaining to real estate valuation issues and has been quoted by several regional and national media sources regarding real estate investments. Anthony Pappageorge joined Premier Apartment Advisors in 2006.
